It’s the weekend once again and that pretty much has no meaning unless you’ve kept a clear schedule of your days. For this recipe, we’re keeping it simple. Verrrrry simple; because three weeks in you should be proud if you brew some espresso and drizzle it on top of ice cream instead of stocking up on dollar candy bars. All that is needed for affogato is ice cream and freshly brewed espresso. You really have a lot of control over this recipe depending on your preferences. Scoop as much ice cream as you want and once brewed, drizzle the hot espresso over it to melt it. If you want to take the affogato up a notch, maybe add some pecans or any finely chopped nut of your choice. And voila—Enjoy.
Ingredients:
1. Ice Cream (I went with classic vanilla bean, but was also eyeing an earl grey or cookie dough.)
2. Espresso
Components:
1. Espresso Maker (I used my stovetop Bialetti.)
2. Bean Grinder
3. Your fave bowl or cup and spoon
